In the yesterday's
post I asked a question:Am I enjoying my life?If your answer is yes I'm happy for you!But if you are not so sure about it let me share with you some good advice from the Bible.
It's so easy to complain, grumble and whine about things around you but the way you can increase your joy and enjoy your life is to be thankful on purpose!
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good.
His love endures forever.
Psalm 136:1
God is good all the time!No matter what happens,He is good!Give thanks to Him!Praise Him!
All who seek the Lord will praise him.
Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy.
Psalm 22:26
We think that getting things will make us happy but it actually never works.
"As long as you do anything with a motive to get,it's never going to produce joy in your life."
Joyce Meyer
Don't think that other people have to make you happy because YOU must take responsibility for your happiness. It’s impossible to enjoy life if you don't enjoy yourself. So get your mind of yourself and
Helping other people makes you really happy!
Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.
Luke 6:38
And a real good advice is:
Be careful how you talk, your words matters a lot!Your words are actually the main key to enjoy your life.
If you want to enjoy life
and see many happy days,
keep your tongue from speaking evil
and your lips from telling lies.
1Peter 3:10
It’s impossible to reach your God-given destiny if you allow first negative thoughts to fill your mind and if you then speak all negative words.Agree with God and with your words and tell yourself that SOMETHING GOOD IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO YOU TODAY!
I know this is really a difficult one...but really admit to yourself that worrying doesn't do any good for you. Don't complicate your life by worrying.
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
Philippians 4:6
Because of this, I always try to maintain a clear conscience before God and all people.
Act 24:6
Repent from your sins right away!Ask forgiveness!
If you are angry, do not let it become sin. Get over your anger before the day is finished.
Ephesians 4:26
Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
1Peter 5:8
Be well balanced and don't complicate your life too much.Be with God!Talk to Him!Praise Him!Enjoy his company and presence in your life!Read the Bible!
We must also learn that we can be extraordinarily happy while living an ordinary, everyday life. Expecting life to be one long series of exciting events is setting yourself up for disappointment—and that’ll steal your joy! So learn to be content with life as it is.
With God's help and your determination, you can learn to be happy and enjoy every single day of your life!
God will take care of you! What about starting the day by saying:
This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it!
