Behind God's power there is THE LOVE.
Yesterday we talked that we need God's power to help us change, but to really understand God's power we have to believe in God's love for us.
It is God's love that compels us to live a new way and change!
God loves you so much that He freely gives His power to work in your life.
"God loves us with His everlasting love and His love is a perfecting love:it will change us.

Change is not easy...
But even if we fail we can hear God saying to us:
"I forgive you, I love you. Get up and keep on going!"
We are under a loving God who is committed to help our change.
Actually our change begins when we believe we are loved!

We cannot change ourselves and the reason why we fail while we try to change is because we don't depend on God.
"THE ONLY POWER FOR LASTING CHANGE
 IS CHRIST IN ME."
-James MacDonald

And what it is exactly Christ in me?
It is the Holy Spirit.
"Only the Holy Spirit has the power to make the changes God wants to make in our lives"
God says to us:

I am the Lord All-Powerful. So don’t depend on your own power or strength, but on my Spirit.
-Zechariah 4:6 CEV

"Do you know what kind of power is available to help you change? It's the very power that brought our Savior back from the dead."
-James MacDonald

So because we can't change on our own; we need God's power!

As God's sons and daughters we are victors.
So victory over a change is possible-
but it's also a choice.
And CHANGE IS A PROCESS that requires thousands upon thousands
of little decisions we make every day.
We can choose to do differently than we are used to do.

CHANGE IS A MOMENT BY MOMENT BY MOMENT BY MOMENT....
So real transformation is about the process.
We have too choose...make a right choice over and over and over again.

BUT AS WE DO THESE LITTLE RIGHT CHOICES OVER AND OVER OVER AGAIN...THOSE LITTLE CHOICES LEAD IN THE END TO REAL TRANSFORMATION.

SO FOCUS ON YOUR NEXT STEP! JUST THAT AND NOTHING ELSE AND VICTORY IS YOURS!

In Christ the power of sin is broken and we can choose to build our life in this truth no matter how we feel. Anyways there will be times that we are tempted.
"Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation.
The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
 -Matthew 26:41

If you think you are strong, you should be careful not to fall. The only temptation that has come to you is that which everyone has. But you can trust God, who will not permit you to be tempted more than you can stand. But when you are tempted, he will also give you a way to escape so that you will be able to stand it.
-1 Corinthians 10:12-13

But there is a way to resist the temptation and it's so great that we don't have to fight alone but God is with us and He is faithful and He is willing to help us and He will provide a way out it.

The temptation always starts with a thought. So that's why it's good to decide ahead of time how to resist temptation.
First of all we have to submit to God.
So give yourselves completely to God.
Stand against the devil, and the devil will run from you.
-James 4:7
With God we can resist the Devil.
And one of the best ways to resist a temptation is to eliminate it.
Do NOT put yourself in tempting situations!
Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn from it and go on your way.
-Proverbs 4:15

It is said Whatever you resist persists.
So instead of obsessing over resisting your temptation,
acknowledge it and find something to replace it with.
Believe and remember that sin's power over is broken and good way is to exercise that is to
confess with your mouth and believe in your heart as you say the powerful words:
"I'M DEAD TO THAT"
Declare that over your temptation
and you will begin to change!
 So remember this:

Have you ever had similar thoughts like these:
"I will do something about it, but I will do it tomorrow!"
"I want to get in fit, but I'll start to go to the gym tomorrow."
"I will start to eat healthy, but I will start a healthy eating plan tomorrow."
"I will deal with my addiction, but I will start tomorrow."
"I will deal this issues in my marriage, but I'll do it tomorrow."

We say so easily I'll do it tomorrow...
But...
"We don't need an other sermon, conference, christian book or cd,
but we simply need to do the last thing God has told us to do.
Deal your yesterday today,
because all you have is today."
-Christine Caine

So start your change today!
If you are willing& ready to change
God is initiating lasting change
TODAY!
Today God can set us free!

Yesterday I posted about words...
how they are powerful and how small changes in your words,
will make actually a big difference in your life!
Well it's also important how we talk to ourselves...you know the way how you speak to yourself in your mind. You could ask yourself are you speaking more life giving or life taking words to yourself... And sometimes we can notice that unfortunately we don't say kind thing to ourselves.
Actually Dr Lance Wallnau sighted a study completed by a large university that revealed that the average person hears twelve hundred words a minute of self-talk. The study found that eleven hundred of these words are negative in most people!

But the words that we say to ourselves have to be life giving if we want to success in our change! We have to encourage ourselves!
One of the most powerful factors in personal transformation is SELF TALK!

I think the positive self talk is quite fashionable these days;you can find many self-help books where you can find a chapter on speaking kindly to yourself.
But it's not really about "I can do it" talk...but it's about speaking the words of life and speaking what  God thinks about us and speaking about His truths.

but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.
-1 Samuel 30:6

"When we take the Word and the thoughts of God and begin to speak them into our new man, we start to experience the fruit of the Spirit in the depths of our very beings. Peace starts saturating our minds, joy infiltrates our souls and the life of God is released into our mortal bodies. "
-Kris Vallotton

So do as David did:encourage yourself in the Lord!
It will surely helps us in our process of change when we repeat what God is saying about us!
So look up from the Bible God's truths and speak them aloud to yourself.

I can do all things through Christ, because he gives me strength.
-Philippians 4:1
TALK TO YOURSELF LIKE YOU WOULD TALK TO SOMEONE YOU LOVE!

Day 2: Choose to change
Day 11: Trust God;He will help you to change
Day 17: Change requires new way of thinking
Day 18: A different way to think
Day 19:Think like Jesus
Day 20: Renewing your mind
Day 21:When you change your thinking, you change your beliefs

OUR THOUGHTS INFLUENCE OUR WORDS.
According to Andrew Newberg, M.D. and Mark Robert Waldman,
words can literally change your brain.
And the Bible tells us:

Death and life are in the power of the tongue.
-Proverbs 18:21

The words of the reckless pierce like swords,
but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

-Proverbs 12:18

The soothing tongue is a tree of life,
but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.

-Proverbs 15:4

SO words are incredibly powerful
and we have to learn to  use them in a proper way in our process to change.

Think a moment are your words toward yourself more life giving or life taking?
Think about what you are saying in your mind...Like is it: "this gonna be tough day"-"I'll never make it"- "oh gosh I'm so tired" -"things never work out for me".
Or are you saying: "God is with me"- "I'm so thankful for this day"-"This will be great;with Christ I can do all things"
Maybe you noticed now that maybe your words are more life giving towards other people than toward yourself.
But it is so important how we talk to ourselves!

If you want to change the life you have, you need to change the words you speak.
-Craig Groeschel

You can make just small changes in your words,
but they will make actually a big difference in your life!

So choose your words well!
Gracious words are a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
-Proverbs 16:24
