31 days of powerful prayer. Day 17: Why my prayers are unanswered?(Part 3)

 

If we have unconfessed sin in our hearts it will cut off our

 communication with our heavenly Father.

He would not have listened if I had not confessed my sins. 

-Psalm 66:18

None of us is perfect and we may have something in our lives that doesn't please God,but

it may be something that we don't even realize. So that's why it good to pray and ask God

to show you if there is some hidden sin in your heart and then when God shows it to you

repent.Otherwise God will not hear your prayers.

Sometimes we might think "oh it's just a little thing" but if we don't ask forgiveness for 

your sins this little thing can contaminate your prayers.

This is also the reason why also unresolved relational conflicts can affect your prayers.

Unforgiveness is one of the biggest hindrance to prayers.

Ask God who or what do I need to forgive?

Sometimes the people we love the most can hurt us the most so we need to forgive them.

So ask the Holy Spirit to show you offenses against those you love.

And then forgive...

Other things that can cause our prayers not to be answered are:

*PRIDE

“God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

-1 Peter 5:5 NKJV

*PRAYING WITH WRONG MOTIVES, SELFISHNESS

When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

-James 4:3 

*WORRY

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 

-Philippians 4:6 

*NOT CARING FOR THE PEOPLE IN NEED 

If you close your ear to the cry of the poor,

    you will cry out and not be heard.

-Proverbs 21:13

 Remember, God cannot answer our prayers if we don't pray!

And then check your life if there is something that could hindrance

your prayers to get answered.
