"I will start to eat healthy, but I will start a healthy eating plan tomorrow."
"I will deal with my addiction, but I will start tomorrow."
"I will deal this issues in my marriage, but I'll do it tomorrow."

We say so easily I'll do it tomorrow...
But...
"We don't need an other sermon, conference, christian book or cd, 
but we simply need to do the last thing God has told us to do.
Deal your yesterday today, 
because all you have is today."

God is initiating lasting change 
TODAY!

Yesterday I posted about words...
how they are powerful and how small changes in your words,
 will make actually a big difference in your life!
Well it's also important how we talk to ourselves...you know the way how you speak to yourself in your mind. You could ask yourself are you speaking more life giving or life taking words to yourself... And sometimes we can notice that unfortunately we don't say kind thing to ourselves.
Actually Dr Lance Wallnau sighted a study completed by a large university that revealed that the average person hears twelve hundred words a minute of self-talk. The study found that eleven hundred of these words are negative in most people!

But the words that we say to ourselves have to be life giving if we want to success in our change! We have to encourage ourselves!
One of the most powerful factors in personal transformation is SELF TALK!  

I think the positive self talk is quite fashionable these days;you can find many self-help books where you can find a chapter on speaking kindly to yourself.
But it's not really about "I can do it" talk...but it's about speaking the words of life and speaking what  God thinks about us and speaking about His truths. 

but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

So do as David did:encourage yourself in the Lord!
It will surely helps us in our process of change when we repeat what God is saying about us!
So look up from the Bible God's truths and speak them aloud to yourself. 

 I can do all things through Christ, because he gives me strength.
-Philippians 4:1
TALK TO YOURSELF LIKE YOU WOULD TALK TO SOMEONE YOU LOVE!

OUR THOUGHTS INFLUENCE OUR WORDS.
According to Andrew Newberg, M.D. and Mark Robert Waldman, 
words can literally change your brain.
And the Bible tells us:

Death and life are in the power of the tongue.
-Proverbs 18:21 

The words of the reckless pierce like swords,
    but the tongue of the wise brings healing. 

-Proverbs 12:18 

The soothing tongue is a tree of life,
    but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.

-Proverbs 15:4  
 
SO words are incredibly powerful 
and we have to learn to  use them in a proper way in our process to change.

Think a moment are your words toward yourself more life giving or life taking?
Think about what you are saying in your mind...Like is it: "this gonna be tough day"-"I'll never make it"- "oh gosh I'm so tired" -"things never work out for me".
Or are you saying: "God is with me"- "I'm so thankful for this day"-"This will be great;with Christ I can do all things"
Maybe you noticed now that maybe your words are more life giving towards other people than toward yourself.
 But it is so important how we talk to ourselves! 

If you want to change the life you have, you need to change the words you speak.

When our thoughts will begin to line up with His thoughts and our mind becomes renew  
also our beliefs will change.
Belief is the knowledge that we can do something.

If we believe we can or we believe we cannot, we are correct. 
If we listen to Satan's lies we can become greatly discouraged and it will be difficult to change. Remember, that you don't need to trust your feelings. Maybe you don't feel it...It doesn't matter, but we have to remember and believe that God wants to change you. 
In Christ the power of sin is broken and we can choose to change. We can choose to think right thoughts and we can choose to believe that we can change.
It doesn't matter what people say about you and maybe your past attempts to try to change.You just have to believe what your heavenly Father says about you and believe that 
with your commitment and God's help you can change!

We have talked the past few days that change requires new thinking, because as it is said in Proverbs our life is shaped by our thoughts. So it's really important what we think.

Learning to control our thoughts,
instead of allowing our thoughts to control us,
 is probably the single greatest secret to successful living.

The Bible tells us:
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind.
-Ephesians 4:23  

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
-Romani 12:2
 
"God’s Word has to be planted like a seed in our hearts. Just as a seed doesn’t release its life until it is planted into the ground, God’s Word will not set us free until we get it in our hearts."

So let’s transform our lives by renewing our minds
 by the Word of God.
And how does it happen?
 Every day we need to take time to study the Word 
so we can purposely think according to what it says.
Renewing the mind is an ongoing process so that's why we need to do it every day.
And we do it by reading and studying the Word of God and  growing in our relationship with God.

God's thoughts are not like our thoughts...
and He invites us to think like Jesus. 
And it's not about really just positive thinking, but it's a new way of thinking.
Thoughts come from the atmosphere. For example if people are kind it's easier to be positive.
There is always something in the atmosphere- bad or good- and we are picking things from the atmosphere all the time. But the thing is that we are not controlled by the atmosphere but we can change the atmosphere by being who we are...
And that's the way of how Jesus thinks!
If we wake up and immediately think about what God says about us and believe all those truths 
we can be sure that we start the day with the right thoughts.

Since Jesus went through everything you’re going through and more,
 learn to think like him.
-1 Peter 4:1MSG

In your lives you must think and act like Christ Jesus.
-Philippians 2:5
 

 Does your thinking help you to change?
Or if you haven't had success in your change earlier do you 
believe that thinking right thoughts can help you to change?
Well I heard someone to say that one of the reasons we don't achieve our dreams is because we want to change without changing our thoughts. 
But our thought are very important in our process of change...

The Bible tells us in Romans 12:2:
Do not be shaped by this world; instead be changed within by a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to decide what God wants for you; you will know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect.  

This means we can focus our thoughts in a completely different direction. 
I think we all know that good thoughts produce good results and bad thoughts produce bad results.
And often we do want to change, but then there are our feelings... We don't know how to get past 
our emotions. 
But actually we can change even our emotions by the way we think. 
And how do we change our thoughts?
Let us follow the sample that Apostle Paul gave us:

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable
—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
-Philippians 4:8 



 So remember:Great thinking produces great progress!
