31 days of powerful prayer. Day 9: A powerful prayer includes adoration

, , No Comments
Jesus taught the disciples to pray specifically.
So to pray in a powerful way our prayers should included different aspects-
and today we will talk about adoration.
The Lord's prayer teaches us that the adoration should be the first thing in our prayer:
"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name..."

I love how Bill Hybels has described adoration as you can read from the picture above.
The adoration and worship set our prayer in a right direction and leads us to
God's presence.

"Worship is so deep; it is so precious and so awesome and it comes from such a
deep place within us;it is such a powerful outpouring of our hearts toward the Lord
and it represents such love, gratitude, and devotion that we cannot put it into words."
-Joyce Meyer

O Lord, you are great, mighty, majestic, magnificent, glorious, and sovereign over all the sky and earth! You have dominion and exalt yourself as the ruler of all.  You are the source of wealth and honor; you rule over all. You possess strength and might to magnify and give strength to all.  Now, our God, we give thanks to you and praise your majestic name!
-1 Chronicles 16:25-30

God will show his mercy forever and ever
to those who worship and serve him.

-Luke 1:50

So when starting to pray take a few minutes
to adore and worship God!
Worship God for what He has done, is doing and will do-
and you will notice that your problems seem less crucial!
